The Pulaski County Public School Board, Virginia is now accepting applications for a Jobasa Part-Time General Education Tutor. This position islocated at Critzer Elementary School with a maximum of 18 hours per week for 36 weeks.
Job Summary:Provide appropriate instruction for all assigned students as based on state standards of learning, district guidelines, and school wide expectations. Also included are supervision and maintenance of classroom culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:- Demonstrate the ability to be dependable and punctual.
- Establish and maintain professionalism within the school community.
- Seek out professional development opportunities and ensure professional licensure and certifications are renewed prior to expiration.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in conferences and other trainings to enhance job performance.
- Plan for and provide appropriate instruction as based on state standards of learning.
- Provide accommodations and services as documented in individual student plans as deemed by IDEA and 504.
- Assess and provide remediation for gaps in student achievement.
- Create and disseminate virtual opportunities for all students as based on district guidelines.
- Maintain positive communication with colleagues, community members, parents, and students to promote an increase in community engagement in education.
- Assess and report individual student needs as based on role of mandate reporter.
- Maintain confidentiality of students in accordance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act).

- Maintain a productive behavioral environment for all students.
- Inform Coordinator of behavioral issues as they arise.
- Complete all scheduled staff development sessions.
- Non-teaching assignments as assigned for the purpose of safety and supervision of campus and students.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Degree
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, organize, and prioritize work to meet ongoing deadlines.
- Ability to work well with others exhibiting exemplary interpersonal skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Criminal background check
- Fingerprinting and Child Abuse Index Clearance from Department of Justice
- CPR and First Aid Certification - preferred
Has one of the following degree(s) or above:
- Bachelor's Degree
