Job Description

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer. The Security Professional Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, Education, Finance and more. As a Security Professional Flex Officer, you'll use our exclusive shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on your availability - giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.

The Security Professional Flex Officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.

Pay: 18.57/hr

Responsibilities
  • Provide a dedicated professional security presence in a healthcare setting.
  • Promote patient safety with consistent patrols, de‑escalation tactics, and a focus on compassionate care.
  • Assist medical staff in high‑intensity incidents & emergencies.
  • Conduct patient safety screenings, provide access control, and customer service assistance.
  • Complete accurate after‑action reports for incidents and calls for service.
  • Assist medical team with medical restraints as trained, transport deceased patients to the morgue.
  • Maintain hospital safety and security policies, and patient safety and dignity with the highest level of professionalism.
Qualifications (Must Have)
  • High school diploma/GED verifiable by a third‑party background check.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state.
  • At least 2 years of verifiable work history with no gaps in employment more than 90 days.
  • Ability to pass a federal 10‑panel drug test.
  • Willing to undergo TB bloodwork and vaccination compliance requirements.
  • Ability to remain calm, confident, and reliable in stressful situations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods and respond quickly when needed.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (e.g., Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms), or any support role in a combat zone.
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field.
  • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies.
  • Minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch.
  • Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service.
