Job Overview

The Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture supports innovative education, research, and industry partnerships that prepare students to solve complex real‑world challenges. The Administrative Assistant plays a key role within the Dean’s Office, providing professional‑level support that helps advance college operations, development activities, personnel processes, and special initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Assistant to the Dean, Development Operations Manager, and Director of Administrative Services.
  • Coordinate projects, support personnel activities, and contribute to initiatives that serve faculty, staff, students, donors, and external partners.
  • Maintain records and databases, prepare reports and correspondence.
  • Coordinate calendars and meetings.
  • Support employee onboarding and training activities.
  • Assist with recruitment and personnel processes.
  • Coordinate development and stewardship efforts and serve as a primary point of contact for visitors and inquiries.
  • Coordinate college events and help ensure projects and operational priorities are completed accurately and on schedule.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years of clerical, office or administrative experience, OR an Associate’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field with one (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 2 or two (2) years as an Administrative Assistant
    1. Equivalent education/experience accepted.
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to use and assist with office equipment.
  • Experience working with the public or in a customer service setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with persons of varying levels of responsibility and experience.
  • Experience maintaining hard‑copy and electronic records/files.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Salary and Benefits

Monthly salary: $4,004 to $5,376. This is a full‑time (100% FTE), permanent position with overtime eligibility.
