Position Highlights- EMR system: EPIC
- Pay: $41.26 – $60.76 per hour (DOE)
- Additional pay for bilingual skills, paid on hours worked
- Provide preventative periodontal care, including scaling, prophylaxis, root planing, sealants, and application of preventative agents.
- Perform expanded functions as permitted by licensure, including placing and carving restorations and managing temporary crowns.
- Take and manage dental X‑rays; complete periodontal charting and maintain accurate patient records.
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia as needed.
- Educate and counsel patients on oral hygiene and preventative care; develop dental hygiene treatment plans in collaboration with providers.
- Assist providers during exams and ensure operatories and instruments meet infection control standards.
- Support clinic efficiency, quality initiatives, and compliance with TJC, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements.
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program or an active Dental Hygiene License with Restorative Function Endorsement.
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred at a level 10.
- Knowledge of standard dental practices and current hygiene concepts.
- Ability to deliver care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
- High level of manual dexterity and coordination.
- Basic computer proficiency (Electronic Dental Records, Outlook, Word, Excel).
