Inter Care is searching for a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team in Pullman! At Inter Care, you’ll find a rewarding and challenging work environment and a competitive compensation starting at $17.50/hour for uncertified moving to $19.00/hour upon certification and benefits package which includes: vacation/personal paid time off, sick time, 10 paid holidays, tuition reimbursement program, medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, and short term and long term disability insurance.

Work Schedule:
Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Requirements
Provides efficient and effective patient care according to the adopted clinical standards.
- Prepare, stock, and clean the room for patient treatment before and after treatment.
- Seat and prepare patients for treatment including patient identification and vitals.
- Documentation in EHR, EDR, and EPM as needed.
- Clean and sterilize instruments.
- Provide instructions for procedures completed, using diverse learning skills with documentation of patient understanding.
- Schedule return appointments.
- Communicate effectively with patients & families involved in their care.
Participates constructively as a clinical team member.
- Efficiently assist dentists and dental hygienists to maximize provider productivity.
- Communicate openly with other staff and site managers.
Meets all dental safety and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to all regulatory body, infection control, and organizational standards.
Required Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited dental assistant program required.
- National certification or willingness to obtain through Intercare assistance.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of theory and practices of dentistry, typically acquired through completion of a dental assisting curriculum.
- Displays compassionate, ethical, and professional demeanor.
Physical Demands
Job duties are performed in the typical office environment of the organization, which requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations. The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, frequently sit, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, reach with arms & hands, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and manipulate (using keyboard, office equipment, dental equipment)
- Visual acuity to use keyboard, operate office equipment, and read printed material and regularly required to talk and hear
