** Family Medicine Physician

* Position Overview:
** This position provides high quality medical care by examining patients and determining the appropriate treatment plans, illness, or injuries. The physician conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions and prescribes medical treatment or services.
** A Day in the Life:
*** Work with the healthcare team to provide patients with family medicine medical care services within the standard of care for family medicine patients.
* Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
* Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
* Order laboratory and diagnostic tests and refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
* Analyze reports, test results, medical records, and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.
* Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up to date before prescribing medication/treatment.
* Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help treat the health issue they are experiencing.
* Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
* Adhere to organization and departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
* Document patient care conversations, care provided, and all other work as defined by organizational standards in the EMR.

*** Maintain physician licensure, in good standing, acceptable in the State of Washington.
* Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
* Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for a Physician.
* Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for specific department.
* Ability to learn and adapt to technology.
* Initiates and participates in activities that enhance daily operations of the clinic and organization.
* Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, patients, and customers.
* Strong typing skills.
* Ability to read and write clearly, and understand policies, labels, and written instructions.
