Pay Range
The base pay range for this position is $-$ Annual however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Job TitleEmergency Physician
Work Schedule12 hours per pay period
Position OverviewThis position provides high quality medical care by examining patients and determining the appropriate treatment plans for illnesses or injuries. The physician conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services.
A Day in the Life- Work with the healthcare team to provide patients with emergency medical care services.
- Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens to treat medical conditions.
- Order laboratory and diagnostic tests, obtain medical consultation when clinically indicated.
- Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose and manage condition of patients.
- Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
- Adhere to organization and departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Document patient care conversations, care provided and all other work as defined by organizational standards in the EMR.
- Promote and contribute to a positive work environment, serving others with a professional and positive attitude.
- Responsibly train, demonstrate, or guide others in the performance of assigned work, including medical students and resident physicians.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and take responsibility for departmental space.
- Participate in a modified, organization‑wide new employee orientation, successful completion of departmental orientation, and other medical staff committees.
- Maintain physician licensure, in good standing, acceptable in the State of Washington.
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in emergency medicine.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for an emergency physician.
- Ability to learn and adapt to technology.
- Initiates and participates in activities that enhance daily operations of the clinic and organization.
- Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, patients, and customers.
- Strong typing skills.
- Ability to read and write clearly, and understand policies, labels, and written instructions.
