Our recently modernized facility has the latest technology upgrades, and includes state of the art instructional labs for science, art, audiovisual, and Career Technical programs. The middle school teaching staff is dedicated to providing a high-quality educational experience for all students. Our staff thoroughly enjoy working with all students and pride themselves on helping students expand their academic horizons during this often challenging time of life.
Responsibilities
- School Culture:
Influence, establish and sustain a school culture conducive to continuous improvement for students and staff; lead with vision and inspiration; promote dignity, equity, inclusion, student voice, and excellence with high expectations. - Ensure School Safety:
Lead implementation of a building‑wide safety and crisis response plan; maintain a safe and encouraging environment. - Plan with Data:
Co‑lead development, implementation, and evaluation of a data‑driven plan for improvement of student achievement, utilizing collaborative teams and Title IX compliance. - Align Curriculum:
Assist in aligning curriculum, instruction, extracurricular activities, athletics, and assessment with state and local learning goals; support teacher/coach leadership for student success. - Improve Instruction:
Monitor staff implementation of the school improvement plan and effective instruction; provide leadership and support for district improvement initiatives. - Engage Communities:
Communicate and partner with school community members to promote student learning; foster a collaborative culture with students, parents, and community. - Close Achievement Gaps:
Demonstrate commitment to closing achievement gaps; administer state and federal special programs effectively per guidelines and best practices.
- Washington State Administrator Certificate with K‑12 Principal endorsement.
- Master’s degree in educational administration or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience.
- Ability to structure time and manage multiple priorities independently.
- Demonstrated successful administrative experience as a Principal/Assistant Principal.
- Training and experience in managing/leading Associated Student Body (ASB) programs/activities.
- Experience evaluating teaching using Washington State criteria and the Charlotte Danielson Framework.

Demonstrates honesty, listens, builds relationships. - Communications and Public Relations:
Represents school in community, effective communication.
- Salary: $134,941 – $157,862 per year.
- Length of
Contract:
215 days per year plus two personal leave days; position starts July 1, 2026. - Benefits/Leaves:
Medical, dental, vision, life and long‑term disability coverage through SEBB; retirement benefits through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems; additional leave benefits per board policies.
