Yearbook Club Advisor

DEFINITION OF POSITION:
Provide guidance and direction to the Yearbook Club to aid in the design, layout and production of the school's annual yearbook.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
Building Assistant Principal

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Successful experience working with middle school age students

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* BA degree in education

* Experience and/or appreciation of diverse student population

* Current building employee

ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED

ACTIVITIES:

* Work effectively with middle school students

* Take directions and follow through without direct supervision

* Work positively, respectfully, and consistently with students

* Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with Yearbook Club students

* Monitor and supervise student behavior during meetings and events

* Manage deadlines and complete final reviews

* Possess and practice strong interpersonal skills with a wide variety of people both inside and outside the organization (staff, parents, community members, other agencies, etc.)

* Be a positive team builder who works in a collaborative manner

* Meet multiple demands in pressure situations and maintain high levels of quality work

* Maintain confidentiality

* Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing

* Regularly demonstrate professionalism in appearance, actions, decisions, and overall performance

* Work with minimal supervision and be flexible

* Perform other related duties as assigned

Stipend Position: $2,762 - $3,937 per school year
