Student Career Development Coordinator

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. Overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4,061.90 - $6,092.00 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

The OpportunityAs the Student Career Development Coordinator, you will coordinate and assess internship experiences for students in the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS), including SSAP internships, those offered by other CAHNRS units, and industry stakeholders. You will coordinate the assessment and implementation of CAHNRS internship programs in collaboration with unit internship coordinators and university‑wide internship personnel.
In addition, you will coordinate the career development program for the CAHNRS SSAP Office, creating, promoting, and delivering career networking and development opportunities for all CAHNRS programs. You will lead the CAHNRS Ignite Research Program and the CAHNRS Top Scholar Programs. You will collaborate with CAHNRS and university personnel to build relationships with partners, generate financial support for student programs, and participate in college‑wide recruitment and retention efforts.

Required Qualifications- Positions require a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree may substitute for one (1) year of professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis.

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Ability and willingness to occasionally travel and work some evening and weekend hours.
- Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Previous work experience at an institution of higher education.
- Student services experience in admissions, advising, professional development, and/or recruitment.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement and leadership, including the ability to work independently.
- Experience working in business and/or industry.
- Experience in event management.
