The Opportunity:
As the Assistant Director for Student Services, you will lead the multicampus accommodations advising program, overseeing operations, policy development, staff supervision, training, and compliance with federal and institutional requirements to ensure equitable access for students with disabilities. You will direct the CLEAR program by setting strategic goals, evaluating effectiveness, and managing resources and personnel to support student success. You will also maintain a caseload, determining eligibility, developing accommodation plans, and providing guidance to students and faculty while applying relevant laws and best practices.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time (100% FTE),
permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $5,598.97 - $6,255.82 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
- Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, which has included at least one (1) year of managerial experience. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Education and experience can be tailored to fit the specific organizational entity/directorial assignment. Positions may require applicable licensure and/or certification - Experience with reviewing and approving accommodations for students with disabilities, OR equivalent education/experience.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills to include working with databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Master's degree in a relevant field (Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling).
- One - two years direct experience serving students with disabilities in higher education.
- Knowledge and understanding of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other pertinent federal and state laws that provide for an accessible higher education experience for disabled students.
- Knowledge of universal design and assistive technologies for people with disabilities.
- Knowledge of student development and student affairs theory.
- Sensitivity and competency in working with a diverse population.
- Ability to effectively work as a member of a team and to work collaboratively with others.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
