Location: Pullman, WA. This is a fully in-person position.
ResponsibilitiesAs the Assistant Director for Student Services, you will lead the multicampus accommodations advising program, oversee operations, policy development, staff supervision, training, and compliance with federal and institutional requirements to ensure equitable access for students with disabilities. You will direct the CLEAR program by setting strategic goals, evaluating effectiveness, and managing resources and personnel to support student success. You will also maintain a caseload, determine eligibility, develop accommodation plans, and provide guidance to students and faculty while applying relevant laws and best practices.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, including at least one (1) year of managerial experience, or a Master’s degree in a related field (with up to one year of experience waived). Education and experience may be combined on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience with reviewing and approving accommodations for students with disabilities, or equivalent education/experience.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling).
- One-to-two years of direct experience serving students with disabilities in higher education.
- Knowledge of Section 504, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other federal and state laws regarding accessible higher education.
- Knowledge of universal design and assistive technologies for people with disabilities.
- Knowledge of student development and student affairs theory.
- Sensitivity and competency in working with a diverse population.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and collaborate with others.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
This position requires a background check because it involves access to children or vulnerable adults, interaction with students in a counseling or advising capacity, and access to personal information. The check will not be conducted until the applicant is deemed qualified.

Monthly Salary: $5,598.97 - $6,255.82 (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
