Position

Capacity Grant Administrator (Fiscal Analyst
2) - 143J-_NPS

Overview

As a Capacity Grant Administrator for the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS), you will conduct financial reviews, analyze fiscal, contract, grant, and budget information, and manage post‑award grant activities. The role reports to the Assistant Finance Director of the Office of Research and collaborates closely with the Assistant Finance Director of Extension to align processes with the College’s strategic goals.

Duties
  • Perform professional financial reviews and analysis of fiscal, contract, grant, and budget information.
  • Manage post‑award grant administration and ensure compliance with grant policies.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to provide a unified approach to financial processes and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budget monitoring.
  • Support the Office of Research in meeting its financial objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, including 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
  • One (1) year of relevant professional experience or equivalent education/experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with individuals at varying levels of responsibility.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and Workday.
  • Knowledge of WSU Business Policies and Procedures in personnel, finance, and administration.
  • Experience in higher education, local or state agency, or equivalent.

Salary

Monthly Salary: $4,517 to $6,075 (Step range 49, steps A-M). Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range with scheduled increments in accordance with WAC 357-28.

Background Check

This position requires a background check as it involves access to sensitive information and work with vulnerable populations, in accordance with RCW 74.34.
