Job Title

Respiratory Therapist

Pay Range

Base pay range: $34.75 - $52.49 hourly (may vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience).

Work Schedule

Nights; every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Position Overview

Provides respiratory care to patients ranging from premature infants to elderly individuals with pulmonary disease. Works under physician supervision and delivers a range of respiratory care modalities on scheduled and emergency basis.

Responsibilities
  • Operate mechanical ventilators.
  • Operate non-invasive mechanical ventilators.
  • Operate high-flow oxygen delivery systems.
  • Draw umbilical cord gases.
  • Draw arterial blood gases.
  • Determine appropriateness and participate in developing and recommending modifications to respiratory care plans.
  • Gather information and interpret data regarding patient history, lab results, radiological reports, and other pertinent results regarding patient care.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn new techniques and equipment.
  • Initiate and participate in communication to assure effective delivery of respiratory care.
  • Communicate with patients and families in a respectful manner.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
  • Credentialed through the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Licensed in the State of Washington as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Excellent communication skills with physicians, colleagues, and patients.
  • Ability to learn and utilize new technologies.
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience.
  • Possess BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire.
