Pay Range: $62.44-$92.14 hourly. Base pay offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

Work Schedule:

Variable – day shift, evening shift, possible weekends, possible on‑call.

About the Team

The pharmacy team includes pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, and occasionally WSU pharmacy student interns. The team provides care within nearly all hospital departments and clinics.

Position Overview

The pharmacist ensures prompt, accurate pharmaceutical care for patients, nurses, and providers. You are part of the interdisciplinary team that delivers integrated health and healing activities for our community.

Responsibilities
  • Read, interpret, and extract patient information from patient charts accurately.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens and adjust per individual patient characteristics and needs.
  • Review and verify medication orders before dispensing.
  • Dispense medications to all hospital areas.
  • Supply drug information.
  • Counsel and educate patients, family members, staff, and providers on appropriate drug use.
  • Perform dosage calculations, monitor results, and adjust as indicated.
  • Complete drug reviews.
  • Supervise support personnel and assume responsibility for final check of all completed work.
  • Document clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely.
Qualifications

BPharm or Pharm

D degree required. Licensed as a pharmacist in Washington State, or eligible for licensure within 2 months of hire.

Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Pharmacy residency and/or board certification (optional).
