Pay Range
Base pay range: $21.30 - $31.89 hourly, subject to variation based on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Position TitleCertified or Registered – Medical Assistant
Position OverviewThe Certified/Registered Medical Assistant provides professional clinical support, coordinating efficient and safe patient care across Pullman Regional Clinic locations. Responsibilities include patient intake, rooming, assisting with or performing designated procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation in the EMR.
Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care, including direct patient care, information gathering, and transitions of care.
- Practice within the Pullman Regional Health (PRH) model: plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of patient care.
- Establish and maintain communication and collaboration with colleagues, patients, and community members to promote teamwork and positive patient outcomes.
- Plan and prioritize daily clinic workflow to deliver professional patient care.
- Interview patients and caregivers to assist in developing patient care plans.
- Document patient care conversations, care provided, and other work as defined by organizational standards in the EMR.
- Coordinate care for a defined patient panel according to organizational standards.
- Make clinical decisions based upon professional judgment within legal scope of practice.
- Promote a positive work environment and serve others with a professional, positive attitude.
- Train, demonstrate, or guide others in the performance of assigned work, including new staff and precepting medical assistants in training.
- Maintain licensure in good standing, acceptable in the State of Washington.
- Hold active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrate required technical skills for a medical assistant and for the specific clinic setting.
- Ability to learn and adapt to technology.
- Initiate and participate in activities that enhance daily clinic operations.
- Manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, patients, and customers.
- Strong typing skills.
- Ability to read and write clearly, and understand policies, labels, and written instructions.
- Experience in an ambulatory clinic setting.
