Imaging Services Administrative Assistant
The base pay range for this position is $20.46-$32.84 Hourly, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Work Schedule for this Position:Four 10-hour weekday shifts, typically 8am - 6:30pm or similar. Specific days can be discussed.

Position Overview:In this administrative role within the Imaging Department, effective planning and prioritization is crucial to coordinate patient appointments and procedures seamlessly. Information gathering involves accurately inputting data working with various computer systems, while decision-making is guided by departmental leadership. Clear communication is key, from handling incoming calls and updating physician contacts to informing patients promptly about any changes in their schedules.
By executing these tasks efficiently, the workflow within the department can operate smoothly, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Schedule radiology appointments for patients based on availability and type of procedure needed.
- Confirm appointments with patients and provide necessary preparation instructions.
- Answer phone calls and emails from patients and healthcare providers regarding scheduling inquiries.
- Input patient information and appointment details accurately into scheduling system.
- Follow up with patients to reschedule missed appointments or make changes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and other staff members to ensure smooth scheduling process.
- Verify insurance coverage when required for procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of diagnostic imaging studies.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
