Job Summary
The IT Technical Support Specialist provides frontline technical support to employees while assisting in the administration and maintenance of core IT systems and infrastructure. The role bridges end‑user support and systems administration, handling day‑to‑day helpdesk and desktop support, and contributing to server, network, and systems operations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting Windows-based hardware and software, administering Microsoft Office/365 products, managing networking fundamentals, and maintaining accurate documentation of assets, support requests, and system configurations.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma.
- 2–4 years of related experience in an IT support role.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to visit auxiliary offices as needed.
- Hands‑on experience supporting, installing, and troubleshooting Windows‑based hardware and software.
- Experience with Microsoft Office/365 products and Windows operating systems, including Outlook, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, and MFA administration.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, dependable approach to end‑user support.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and documentation habits.
- Collaborative team player who seeks practical solutions and applies best practices.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with server operating systems and virtualization concepts.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., Entra, Microsoft 365 administration).
- Basic familiarity with Linux operating systems and command‑line fundamentals.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar) are a plus.
Able to work 40+ hours per week, with occasional work on weekends or holidays as needed. Requires standing and sitting for extended periods, use of a computer monitor and keyboard for prolonged periods, and the ability to lift and move equipment up to 30 lbs.
Work EnvironmentTypical office environment with a computer workstation, including light manufacturing facilities.
