About the Marketing Club at WSUFounded in 2021, the Marketing Club at WSU is entering an exciting new era. We’re currently rebranding and rebuilding with a bold vision: to become one of the most impactful student‑led organizations on campus.
Our structure is simple but powerful. The club is led by a President who oversees all operations, alongside four Executive Directors who each lead their own specialized teams. This creates real leadership opportunities, real collaboration, and real execution, not just meetings.
We are building a club focused on experience over theory.
Members who attend at least three meetings are offered a position on a team of their choice, giving everyone the opportunity to move from “attendee” to “builder.” Whether you’re interested in social media, branding, strategy, events, partnerships, or creative production, there’s a place for you here.
Our goal is to host meaningful, hands‑on opportunities such as:
- Freelance marketing projects for local businesses
- Interactive interview preparation and career workshops
- Guest speakers from real industries
- Creative campaigns and campus‑wide events
This club is designed for students who want more than just something to put on a résumé, they want experience, growth, and impact.
You do not need a marketing or business background to join. We are open to all majors and all experience levels. If you’re ambitious, curious, creative, or simply want to be part of something with high potential, you belong here.
We’re building something bigger than a club, we’re building a platform for students to grow, lead, and create real‑world value.
What You’ll DoAs Social Media Director, you’ll:
- Lead and manage a team of 3 creatives
- Set the overall social media direction and campaign goals
- Approve content calendars and posting schedules
- Lead short weekly team check‑ins
- Ensure our brand voice and visuals stay consistent
- Review posts before publishing
- Track performance (engagement, growth, reach) and adjust strategy
- Collaborate with other club directors on campaigns and events
- Help onboard and guide new team members
At its core:
you manage the team, guide the vision, and help us grow.
- Someone with previous leadership experience (club, team, project, job, etc.)
- Organized but creative
- Comfortable giving feedback and managing a small team
- Ambitious and excited to build something
- Interested in marketing, branding, or digital strategy
- Real leadership experience (you’ll oversee a team of
3) - Hands‑on strategy experience for your resume
- Direct collaboration with executive leadership
- Creative freedom to shape the club’s brand
- Strong talking point for internships and future jobs
