The Opportunity

As the Associate Director of Operations & Accountability for Student Affairs
, you serve as the senior operational leader and second-in-command within the Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life (CFSL). You provide strategic oversight of department operations, accountability systems, and organizational standards while supporting the Director in day-to-day management, decision‑making, and continuity of leadership.

You lead the fraternity and sorority community accountability framework for more than 70 chapters and councils, ensuring consistent application of university policies, effective conduct processes, and alignment with institutional values. Acting with delegated authority, you coordinate departmental operations, supervise professional staff, and assume leadership of the department in the Director's absence.

You advise student leaders, oversee key operational initiatives, and collaborate with campus partners to ensure CFSL programs, services, and staff operate effectively, ethically, and in compliance with university expectations. You serve as a primary departmental contact for agencies, organizations, university departments, and individuals regarding issues of organizational misconduct, standards enforcement, and community wellbeing, and you advise council presidents, standards chairs, and finance chairs while providing guidance to councils and chapters on organizational operations and accountability.

In this role, you oversee initiatives such as Greek Pillars of Excellence, the Arete Awards, and the Joint Council Retreat; coordinate CFSL responses to conduct concerns in collaboration with the Center for Community Standards; advise and oversee the Greek Standards Board; support assessment activities related to accountability and wellbeing; and work closely with campus partners to promote a safe, inclusive, and values-driven fraternity and sorority experience.

This is a full‑time (100 % FTE),
permanent position. Overtime eligibility will be determined based on final salary placement.

Monthly Salary: $5,485.73 - $6,500.00 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications
  • Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field which has included at least two (2) years of management experience. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‑for‑year basis.
  • Post‑baccalaureate experience in higher education or related field.
  • Broad knowledge of and experience with fraternal organizations, advising, and related issues.
  • Experience working with student organizations, including fraternal organizations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to, and experience successfully advocating for access and opportunity.
  • Demonstrated ability in using current computer technologies (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), email, and the internet.
  • Commitment to serving underserved/underrepresented groups such as African Americans, Latinx, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, LGBTQ+, Indigenous peoples, etc.
