Director of the Carson Center for Student Success
As the Director of the Carson Center for Student Success, you will provide strategic leadership, vision, and operational oversight for a comprehensive student success center serving undergraduate business students. You will be responsible for leading an integrated, holistic academic advising model, as well as career development and industry engagement efforts that support student progression, retention, and post-graduation outcomes.
You will oversee the overall management and continuous improvement of the Center, actively participate in developing system-wide academic and career advising services that promote student success, and deliver high-impact, student-centered services aligned with the mission and strategic priorities of the Carson College of Business. In this role, you will directly supervise key functional areas, including academic advising, career support programs, and employer and industry relations, and you will report to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
You will also serve as a key contributor to the College's student success strategy, championing initiatives that enhance the student experience from recruitment through career placement.
This is a full (100 % FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime exempt. Monthly Salary: $8,600 - $10,700 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:- Positions require a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and six (6) years of progressively responsible relevant experience, which has included at least three (3) years of managerial experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
Education and experience can be tailored to fit the specific organizational entity/directorial assignment. - Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing professional staff, including supervision of managers or team leads.
- Experience developing and implementing student success initiatives that improve retention, progression and career outcomes.
- Understanding of academic advising models, student development theory, and career readiness framework.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and use data inform strategy, assess outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
- A Master of Arts or Master of Science degree in a related field or an MBA degree.
- Familiarity with other business schools, experience with similar structured academic units.
- Experience overseeing academic and career functions.
- Knowledge of student information systems, advising platforms or career management tools.
