OpportunityThe Marketing and Communications Director provides strategic leadership for the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture’s marketing and communications efforts. The role leads the college’s marketing and communications team in planning, developing, and implementing integrated branding, marketing, and communications strategies that deliver clear, consistent, and impactful messaging to internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with College leadership to develop and execute communications plans that educate, inform, and engage students, faculty, staff, alumni, industry partners, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the creation of compelling content across multiple platforms and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing, public relations, and social media initiatives through data and analytics.
- Continuously refine strategies to maximize reach and impact.
- Work in partnership with administrators, faculty, staff, students, professional organizations, community and business leaders, and Washington State University Communications to advance the College’s reputation and strengthen its brand.
- Support the College’s strategic priorities through innovative and effective marketing and communications programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- At least four (4) years of professional-level experience in print or broadcast media, public relations, or related work.
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent multitasking abilities.
- Demonstrated experience making presentations.
- Experience with graphic design, social media marketing, and analytics interpretation and presentation.
- Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
- Proven abilities in effective marketing/advertising strategies.
- Experience working with a variety of different populations.

Employment InformationFull‑time (100% FTE), permanent position. Salary range: $6,012.09 – $9,400 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Position does not sponsor work visas.
