Grants & Strategic Partnerships Coordinator

The base pay range for this position is $33.10-$50.77 Hourly, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Monday - Friday; 8am to 5pm

Position Overview:

The Grants & Strategic Partnerships Coordinator supports Pullman Regional Hospital's mission by identifying, securing, and managing grant funding while cultivating strategic partnerships that advance organizational priorities. This role leads grant writing, reporting, and coordination with internal and external partners to support initiatives in population health, strategic planning, and community collaboration. The position also supports legislative engagement, recognition opportunities, and strategic projects that expand the hospital's impact and financial sustainability.

This role is executed most successfully working onsite with members of the External Relations Team with the ability to develop relationships with employees, physicians, vendors, supporters and community partners.

A Day in the Life:

  • Develop and execute an annual grant plan and timeline.
  • Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities aligned with Pullman Regional Hospital's strategic priorities.
  • Write, develop, and submit competitive grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and other funding organizations.
  • Coordinate grant application processes including gathering internal data, budgets, narratives, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage awarded grants to ensure compliance with funding requirements, timelines, and reporting obligations.
  • Prepare and submit grant reports, impact summaries, and outcome documentation for funders.
  • Track and report grant revenue and program outcomes to demonstrate impact and return on investment.
  • Track and communicate the financial impact of grants and partnership initiatives including revenue generated and cost savings.
  • Develop and steward relationships with granting foundations and funding partners.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to identify funding opportunities that support strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Maintain oversight of grant timelines, deliverables, and documentation systems.
  • Coordinate and maintain contracts with external grant-writing consultants or contractors when utilized.
  • Coordinate applications and submissions for local, regional, and national recognition awards that highlight Pullman Regional Hospital's achievements.

Strategic Partnerships:

  • Coordinate and support partnerships with key community organizations including but not limited to Washington State University, Whitman County Health Network, Chambers, Rural Collaborative and other regional collaborators.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local, state and federal agencies and Legislators.
  • Support strategic project management for initiatives related to population health, community partnerships, and organizational priorities.
  • Support the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships that advance healthcare access and community health outcomes.
  • Monitor legislative developments and support engagement efforts related to healthcare policy and rural health initiatives.
  • Coordinate hospital participation in regional collaborations such as the Rural Health Collaborative and community networks.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives by identifying funding sources and partnership opportunities that advance organizational goals.

About You!

This Job is For You if You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public administration, nonprofit management, healthcare administration, business, or related field or equivalent full-time work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing, grants management, fundraising, strategic partnerships, or related work.
  • Demonstrated experience writing successful grant proposals and managing reporting requirements.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including persuasive and technical writing.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
