  • Independently clear patients for surgery, consulting with anesthesia (CRNA) for high‑risk cases.
  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests relevant to preoperative optimization.
  • Work closely with anesthesia, surgeons, nursing, and care coordination to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide education to staff and patients regarding pre‑admission optimization and perioperative best practices.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of preoperative optimization pathways, ERAS protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and address safety concerns in the pre‑admit clinic and perioperative workflows.
  • Support DNV certification goals through consistent documentation, standardized workflows, and adherence to evidence‑based guidelines.
  • Track and report metrics related to surgical readiness, optimization, and day‑of‑surgery cancellations.
  • Pursue ongoing professional education and certification.
Qualifications
