Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Home Health RN for a 14-week travel assignment in Pullman, Washington. The role involves providing direct nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring comfort, stability, and effective management of medical conditions.
Required Qualifications- One year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse, including a minimum of six months in a Home Health setting as an RN
- Proficient in OASIS documentation
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Home Health Nursing Certification (RN-BC)
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
A Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) delivers direct nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring comfort, stability, and effective management of medical conditions. Home Health RNs assess patient conditions, develop care plans, administer treatments, and educate patients and caregivers on disease management.
Essential Work Functions- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on medical needs and physician directives
- Administer medications, treatments, and wound care while monitoring patient responses
- Provide patient and caregiver education on medication management, disease progression, and self‑care techniques
- Monitor for changes in patient status, reporting concerns and adjusting care plans as needed
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
- Document patient care, interventions, and progress accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and home care best practices to protect patients and caregivers
- Support families and caregivers, offering guidance and emotional support throughout the care process
- Maintain communication with case managers and interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated patient care
- Complete charting and documentation requirements while meeting visit and productivity goals
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and healthcare regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with various personnel with a positive attitude and professionalism
- Technical skills to perform fine manipulation and handle equipment when assisting with procedures
- Mental resilience to cope with frequent contact with the public and meet deadlines under pressure, with occasional close supervision
