Pay Range:
The base pay range for this position is $42.43-$83.95 hourly; base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Job Title:
Registered Nurse – MSU/ICU
Full‑time (3 days a week) or Part‑time (2 days a week), 12‑hour shifts from 7am – 7:30pm or 7pm – 7:30am.

Position OverviewThe registered nurse is a clinical practitioner who implements and coordinates patient care specific to the patient population served. The RN ensures quality care is provided in an effective and safe manner consistent with hospital policies and the scope defined by the State of Washington. Responsibilities include supporting the critical care team during code responses, assisting in critical situations, and providing overflow support across departments.
The RN may be cross‑trained and floats to additional departments as needed.
Planning and prioritizing patient care with evidence‑based practices; gathering information to formulate a patient care plan; making decisions based on professional judgment; communicating and collaborating to promote therapeutic relationships; maintaining a professional attitude; teamwork; equitable workload sharing; staying current with professional nursing and hospital policy; completing regulatory and competency requirements; delegating appropriately; ensuring safety and participating in quality improvement projects.
Qualifications- Registered nursing licensure in good standing in the State of Washington.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Four (4) hours of trauma education every 3 years (active TNCC acceptable).
- Eight (8) hours of stroke‑specific education annually.
- Completion of a BSN program within one (1) year of hire.
- NIHSS certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Demonstrated ability to perform required technical skills for a registered nurse and the specific department.
- Ability to learn, apply, and individualize new patient care skills and safely use new equipment.
- Initiates and participates in activities that enhance daily operations of the unit and organization.
- PCCN or CCRN certification.
- Two years of acute‑care hospital experience.
- One year of telemetry experience.
