Role Description

The Assistant Community Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pullman, WA, supporting the overall operations and resident experience within the DABCO housing portfolio. This role assists with daily property management activities, including responding to resident inquiries, assisting with resident move-ins and move-outs, helping ensure common areas and facilities are well maintained, etc. The Assistant Community Manager supports leasing activities by conducting tours, communicating with future residents, and offering a high level of customer service throughout the application process.

Qualifications
  • Strong resident service and communication skills, including the ability to listen actively, resolve concerns, and maintain professional, respectful interactions.
  • Basic administrative and organizational skills, such as recordkeeping, document preparation, scheduling, and handling multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Customer‑facing or hospitality experience in property management, real estate, or a related field, with comfort working on‑site and interacting with residents daily.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with on‑site staff and resident managers, and to support maintenance coordination and emergency response procedures.
  • General knowledge of leasing processes and rental applications, or willingness to learn company policies, fair housing practices, and local regulations.
  • Previous experience working in sales positions a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business, property management, or a related area is a plus.
  • Reliability, discretion, and the ability to uphold community standards and safety policies while providing a positive resident experience.
