Role Overview
As a Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate, you will assist with customer orders, information requests, and inventory status. You will also review orders to ensure accuracy and communicate any deviation to the customer in a timely and professional manner. Additionally, you will assemble product for receiving, storing, shipping, and control of materials in inventory or for sale.
Primary Duties- Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems promptly and professionally.
- Sell products and services, offer add‑on and up‑sell products, and suggest alternatives when a requested product is unavailable.
- Maintain merchandise and literature displays.
- Continuously develop knowledge of Crescent product inventory, facility location, and sales techniques.
- Keep up to date on market trends, new products, and their applications.
- Back up and support inside sales representatives and warehouse personnel as needed.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous wholesale electrical distribution product knowledge and sales experience preferred.
Hourly rate: $18.00 – $21.00, inclusive of base pay plus sales commission opportunity.
Physical DemandsOften standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and stooping. Occasional sitting, talking, and hearing. Use of hands/fingers is frequent.
- Continuous lifting and carrying 1‑20 lbs.
- Frequent lifting and carrying 21‑50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting and carrying 51‑100 lbs.
- Buddy lift or mechanical assistance advised for heavier loads.
Close vision: clear at 20 inches or less; distance vision: clear at 20 feet or more; peripheral vision: ability to observe area while eyes fixed; depth perception: ability to judge distances.
