The Opportunity:
As the Maintenance Mechanic 2, you work under the supervision of the Maintenance Specialist 4 for University Recreation and you perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and systems within University Recreation facilities.
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and systems within University Recreation facilities under the supervision of the Maintenance Specialist 4.
This is a full-time (100 % FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Salary and BenefitsMonthly Salary: 5,011 to 5,812;
Range 48G Steps G - M. Salary placement is based on candidate experience and education. Benefits include paid sick and vacation leave, paid holidays, medical, dental, life and disability insurance, retirement, deferred compensation, and other employee programs.
- High school graduation and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade; OR equivalent education/experience.
- Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
- Ability to respond to emergencies outside normal business hours.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- Pool mechanical experience or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) / Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification.
