Job Description
- Ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel facilities, utilities, equipment, fixtures, furnishings, and staff accommodation.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for:
- Air‑conditioning and electrical systems
- Refrigeration systems
- Fire & Life Safety (FLS) equipment
- Plumbing and drainage systems
- Kitchen and laundry equipment
- Low voltage (LV) systems
- Guest rooms, F&B outlets, banquet/function areas, and back‑of‑house facilities
- Furniture, fixtures, painting, repairs, and parts replacement
- Coordinate with engineering management to improve operational efficiency.
- Inform management of any service disruptions or maintenance concerns.
- Assist in planning daily engineering staff briefings and work assignments.
- Support preparation of utility consumption reports (power, water, steam, gas).
- Ensure contractors perform maintenance and repairs according to safety policies and contract requirements.
- Supervise engineering team members to maintain safe work practices and efficient operations.
- Provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and grooming standards.
- Be knowledgeable in hotel fire, life safety, and emergency procedures.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and briefings.
- Support Accor’s environmental, quality, safety, and sustainability commitments, including ISO standards.
- Monitor quality performance and departmental objectives.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
- Diploma or Trade Certificate relevant to the area of expertise.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry in a multi‑skilled supervisory role, with hands‑on experience in the respective trade.
- Previous work experience in the Maldives is preferred.
