Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
Research and write news articles on startups, business, technology, investments, and entrepreneurship.
Conduct online research and fact-check information before publication.
Assist in interviewing founders, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.
Create engaging headlines, summaries, and article descriptions.
Monitor trending stories across various industries.
Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, and readability.
Coordinate with the editorial and marketing teams for content publishing.
Assist in preparing founder profiles, company profiles, and business case studies.
Maintain editorial quality and publishing timelines.
Required Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent command of English.
Basic understanding of journalism ethics and fact-checking.
Ability to research topics independently.
Strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and online research tools.
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
Pursuing or completed Bachelor's/Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, English, or related field.
Prior experience in blogging, article writing, college publications, or digital media is an advantage.
Knowledge of startups, business news, technology, and entrepreneurship is preferred.
Strong interest in startups, entrepreneurship, business, technology, and innovation.
Active reader of business news, startup publications, and industry trends.
Experience managing a blog, college magazine, newsletter, or social media content is preferred.
Familiarity with AI-powered research and content tools is an advantage.
Basic understanding of SEO, digital publishing, and content management systems (CMS) is desirable.
Comfortable conducting interviews via video calls, email, and social media platforms.
Ability to identify newsworthy stories and develop compelling content angles.
Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Candidates with published articles, blogs, newsletters, podcasts, or content portfolios will be given preference.
Photography, videography, video editing, or social media content creation skills will be an added advantage.
Willingness to work from the office and participate in field reporting, event coverage, or founder interviews when required.
