Role Overview
The HRBP & IR professional for the automotive plant will lead people strategy, industrial relations, labor compliance, and workforce engagement for a high‑precision, fast‑paced, and safety‑critical manufacturing environment. The role ensures stability on the shop floor, supports lean manufacturing goals, and drives HR excellence aligned with automotive quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnering

• Partner with Plant Head, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for manpower planning.

• Drive hiring for skilled operators, diploma engineers, apprentices, and staff.

• Facilitate performance management aligned with automotive KPIs (OEE, FPY, PPM, Scrap Rate, Safety Metrics).

• Identify skill gaps and manage training

• Support ramp-ups for new model launches or capacity expansion.

Industrial Relations (IR)

• Maintain strong relationships with unions and ensure stable industrial harmony.

• Manage LTS, wage negotiations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.

• Monitor IR climate—absenteeism, discipline, contract labor relations.

• Coordinate with Labour Office, PF Office, Police, and local authorities.

Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Factories Act, CLRA, , Apprentices Act, PF/ESIC, POSH, and other relevant laws.

• Maintain statutory records and ensure vendor compliance.

• Support IATF, ISO, customer, and supplier audits.

Workforce Management

• Manage contract labor and shift operations.

• Optimize manpower using lean deployment and productivity analytics.

• Ensure smooth payroll inputs and workforce budgeting.

Employee Engagement & Plant Culture

• Implement Safety Week, Quality Month, TPM Day, and welfare activities.

• Manage committees:
Works, Safety, Canteen, Transport.

• Promote a culture of discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• MBA/PGDM in HR / MSW / MHRM / MLW.

• 8–15 years of plant HR & IR experience (automotive preferred).

• Experience managing White collar 500– Blue Collar 2000+ workforce.
