About Position:

QAD is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the global Services team in India. As a Project Manager you will be leading and managing projects of moderate to large scale within a given business unit. Projects that you will work on will be focused on the delivery of new or enhanced products to improve customer satisfaction through the use of technology.

What You'll Do:

Project Management:
Lead and manage all phases of ERP implementation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
Lead and manage projects of moderate to large scale within a given business unit
Oversee all QAD deliverables, activities, and resources for the project.
Ensure project milestones are met and decision-making occurs in a timely manner, as delays may result in change orders.
Provide support and guidance to the customer's project manager throughout the project, leveraging expertise in implementations.
Actively participate in monthly steering committee meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
Manage change control, issue resolution, and escalation processes.
Ensure project teams remain stable throughout the implementation efforts where possible.
Ensuring no impact on deliverables, quality, or timelines.
Process and Standards Adherence:
Ensure consistent adherence to the Sales-to-Services handover process for all projects.
Collaborate with sales and business development teams to ensure mandatory handover steps are followed before project kick-off.
Utilize and promote templates and documentation used during the handover process.
Ensure the implementation team receives all necessary information and documents for effective project kick-off.
Responsible for all elements of a project delivery following project management best practices and standards.
Work effectively with teams and personnel at an international level, adapting communication and engagement appropriately.
Proactively manage scope and scope changes.
Manage delivery issues and risks and create mitigation strategies.
Manage all project administration activities (project plan, timeline, status reporting, communication plan, change plan, project reviews, and resource management) on a timely basis.
Escalate all obstacles rapidly that cannot be dealt with promptly that could result in delays, budget overrun or quality issues.
Customer Relationship Management:
Address customer concerns and maintain satisfaction, especially in sensitive projects.
Ensure team continuity for ongoing projects and new change orders to maintain customer satisfaction.
Communicate with customers regarding project status and potential impacts.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and project sponsors to formulate clear project plans and drive action for execution.
Problem Solving and Customization Guidance:
Provide guidance for customization requirements, especially when different behaviors are observed in various user interfaces (e.g., NET UI and WEBUI).
Strategic Alignment:
Ensure alignment between ERP and other product implementations for multi-product projects.
Understand the customer's long-term strategic and short-term tactical plans.

Expertise You'll Bring:

4 years Plus experience managing projects in deploying software, utilizing project management practices.
Experience in the QAD-ERP domain is mandatory.
Strong understanding of project governance and control details, as outlined in Project Management Plans (PMPs).

Experience with resource planning and management, including internal and subcontractor resources.
Familiarity with sales-to-services handover processes and templates.
Experience in a business environment related to service & support practices and delivery. Leadership experience is desired, including indirect guidance of work activities of others.
Excellent command of both spoken and written English. Written documentation is clear, concise, written to a level appropriate to the audience, and at a level of detail that leaves little room for questions or misunderstanding. Deliver presentations to larger audiences, and senior leadership. Presentations are clear, to the point and highlight important issues. Documents and presentations are polished and professional in appearance.
Google Applications, MS Office, Smartsheets and strong familiarity with information technology business components, and demonstrated ability to adopt and effectively utilize new tools and services.
Project management certification such is required (e.g. CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2). ITIL Foundation certification expected at this level. Related industry certifications may also be sought.
Ability to manage complex projects with multiple products and ensure alignment across teams.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
