Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven Area / Zonal Manager – Sales to lead and scale insurance sales operations across Pune and nearby regions. The role involves managing a multi-layered team structure, driving regional strategy, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage Area Managers / Team Leaders, and indirectly oversee large field sales teams
Drive regional performance to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business goals
Conduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and skip-level meetings
Ensure strong execution of sales plans across multiple territories
Monitor and optimize field sales productivity and efficiency
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
Analyze performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
Ensure compliance with company policies, IRDAI regulations, and audit standards
Eligibility Criteria
Education
Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred)
Experience
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in insurance sales
At least 3–5 years of experience managing Area Managers / Team Leaders
Proven experience handling multi-layered / zonal sales structures
Strong understanding of the Pune and Maharashtra insurance market
Mandatory Requirements
Proficiency in Marathi (spoken and written)
Strong experience in General Insurance Sales
Experience in managing large, geographically spread field teams

Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
Highly target-driven with a strategic mindset
Ability to manage high-volume, multi-location operations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
