The Head of Strategy will be responsible for shaping and driving the long-term strategic agenda for a leading industrial manufacturing organization across multiple geographies around India. The role will lead enterprise-wide strategic planning, growth initiatives, business transformation programs, portfolio optimization, and inorganic growth opportunities. This position involves analysing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating across business functions to develop and implement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
The incumbent will play a critical role in identifying future growth vectors, translating market insights into actionable business strategies, and ensuring successful execution of strategic priorities across the region. The role requires a combination of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, operational understanding, and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and periodic refresh of the regional business strategy, aligned with global priorities and growth ambitions.
• Partner with business and functional leaders to define long-term growth strategies, market expansion plans, and competitive positioning.
• Identify emerging market opportunities, disruptive trends, and innovative business models that can accelerate profitable growth.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of strategic initiatives and ensure timely delivery of key outcomes. Prior experience in global stakeholder management.
• Evaluate business performance and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and develop strategic partnerships that enhance organizational capabilities and strengthen market presence.
• Prepare and present clear, data-driven strategy reports, recommendations, and business cases to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
• MBA from Tier 1 college or equivalent advanced degree in Business, Economics, Strategy, or a related field from a premier institution.
• 8+ years of experience in strategy, corporate planning, management consulting, or related business leadership roles.
• Proven experience in strategy development, business consulting, transformation, or similar strategic functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business and market data.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
• Proficiency in strategic frameworks and analytical tools
