Preschool Assistant Teacher

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and hygiene environment for children.
• Identify the importance of routine activities and transitions.
• Follow daily schedule and understand the predictability for young children.
• Observe and respond to children’s initiations and requests, including nonverbal cues.
• Use care-giving activities such as diapering and dressing, as an opportunity to foster healthy development through positive adult/child interactions.
• Recognise the importance of sensory experiences, exploration and play in children’s growth and learning.
• Maintain and build relationships with children and parents.
• Ensure Champs' safety in all areas and activities.
  
  E.g.:
  Champs are to be supervised at all times.
• Ensure all Champs’ hygiene at all times.
  
  E.g.:
  Proper hand washing and food handling habits.
• Assist class teachers in maintenance of classroom to adhere to safety and hygiene regulations.
  
  E.g.: refilling hygiene items like tissue and sanitiser and regular toy washing.
• Report any damage/safety hazards in classroom to class teachers.
• Ensure hildren are within sight, hearing, and easy reach of staff.

• Ideally EY1/EY2-certified (holds HCIC/ACEY)
• Creative and inspiring with loving energy
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
