Overview
The Charlotte County Airport Authority (CCAA) seeks a Senior Accountant to support advanced accounting functions, including general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, month‑end and year‑end close, financial reporting, budget monitoring, audit preparation, and compliance with GAAP, GASB, and governmental accounting standards.
Responsibilities- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely
- Process month‑end and year‑end close activities
- Generate financial reports for authorities and stakeholders
- Monitor budget performance and prepare variance analyses
- Assist in audit preparation and ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Support financial information management in Net Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and GASB principles
- Experience with governmental, public‑sector, and enterprise‑fund accounting preferred
- Proficiency with Net Suite and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional finance environment
- Salary Range: $80,450 - $102,500 per year
- 0‑cost employee medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Employer retirement contribution of over 16%
