The Traveling Commercial Construction Superintendent is a full-time, hybrid role based in Punta Gorda, FL, with some work-from-home flexibility and frequent travel to project sites. This role oversees day-to-day construction activities on commercial projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans and specifications. Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors and vendors, managing site logistics, conducting safety meetings and inspections, and monitoring quality standards.

The superintendent collaborates closely with project managers and clients, tracks progress against budgets and timelines, maintains accurate daily reports, and resolves onsite issues to support successful project delivery.

• Strong construction site management skills, including supervision of trades, coordination of schedules, and oversight of daily field operations.
• Demonstrated commitment to construction safety, with experience implementing safety plans, conducting inspections, and enforcing OSHA and company standards.
• Effective organization skills for managing documentation, tracking project milestones, and maintaining clear communication with project stakeholders.
• Experience with budgeting and cost control, including monitoring expenditures, assisting with change orders, and supporting financial accountability on projects.
• Solid project management abilities, such as planning work sequences, aligning field activities with project goals, and collaborating with office-based teams.
• Relevant experience as a commercial construction superintendent or in a comparable field leadership role, preferably with multi-state or travel-based projects.
• Proficiency with construction management software, digital reporting tools, and basic office applications.
• Ability to travel frequently, hold a valid driver's license, and work on-site as required by project demands.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or an associate/bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field is beneficial.
