Your oversight helps deliver safe infrastructure, compliant facilities, and reliable services the community depends on every day.

What You’ll Do
  • Help deliver critical County projects that directly impact our community
  • Coordinate and oversee work orders, projects, and contractor performance from start to finish
  • Ensure projects meet contract specifications, timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements
  • Review plans, designs, and estimates to support quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Collaborate with City, County, State, and federal partners to move projects forward
  • Support the bidding and contract process, including reviewing proposals and recommending awards
  • Monitor field inspections and address change orders to keep projects on track
  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for citizens, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Review invoices and help ensure responsible use of public funds
  • Manage special projects and provide administrative support that keeps operations running smoothly
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and problem resolution across multiple communication channels
Education and Experience:

An equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience:

  • Associate’s Degree
    • Preferred:
      • Civil engineering
      • Construction management
      • Accounting
  • Two (2) years of experience in contract preparation, construction, administration and management, facilities operations and maintenance.
Licenses and/or Certificates:
  • Must maintain a driver’s license.

  • Knowledgeable in contract management, purchasing procedures, and construction or engineering practices
  • Familiar with project plans, specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and comfortable using technology to manage data and documentation
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to spot inconsistencies, poor workmanship, or non-compliance
  • A strong analytical thinker with solid research, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Organized and able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Confident communicator who can write clear reports, correspondence, and present to diverse audiences
  • Comfortable working with numbers, calculations, and cost-related data
  • Able to interpret technical documents, diagrams, regulations, and contract terms
  • Fair and firm in enforcing standards while maintaining professionalism and tact
  • Customer-focused and responsive across all forms of communication
  • Collaborative and able to build strong working relationships with contractors, agencies, and the public
  • Self-directed and capable of managing inspections and projects independently
  • Able to operate a motor vehicle to conduct site visits and field inspections
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The following physical abilities are required:
Walking, Sitting or Standing, Lifting, Hearing, Visual Acuity to include color, depth perception, and field vision, Reaching, Repetitive Motion, Talking, and Manual Dexterity. Dependent on position assignment, may frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, potentially exposed to temperamental changes (e.g., field conditions, warehouses, tight spaces, equipment, etc.) or irate customers, extreme noise, odors, heights and/or dust.
