Help build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our city. This leadership role directs Utilities Engineering operations and oversees critical construction and improvement projects bringing together design, compliance, and collaboration to deliver reliable utility services to our community.

A professional position responsible for directing the work of Utilities Engineering and providing technical engineering services for City utilities construction and improvement projects.

• Design and development of utility projects.
• Conduct special studies, surveys and collect information on operational and administrative programs and projects and make reports as required.
• Direct the activities of Utility Project Managers.
• Assist in supervising projects in construction phase and serve as liaison between developers, engineers and contractors.
• Assist in the preparation of bid documents.
• Prepare and coordinate permit applications for submittal to various State and Federal agencies.
• Attend public hearings and meetings.
• Review construction plans for any corrective action required prior to presentation to the City’s Development Review Committee.
• Update Geographical Information System (GIS) for the Utility Department.
