This role is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's sign-on bonus program.
About the RoleWe areseekinga skilled and motivated
Traffic Engineer
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will hold a
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida
, orbe eligible to obtain one within six months. This role requires hands-on experience with transportation and traffic engineering projects across the state, including work with FDOT and local municipalities.
- Prepare and manage
FDOT Driveway Connection Permit
applications, including technical documentation and coordination with FDOT reviewers. - Develop
Traffic Impact Statements (TIS)for cities and counties throughout Florida. - Conduct operational analyses and
traffic modeling using Synchro/Sim Traffic
, including scenario development and LOS evaluation. - Perform
traffic signal design
, including plans, timing sheets, and coordination plans in alignment with FDOT and local agency standards. - Prepare technical reports, design documents, andsupportingcalculations.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, andpermittingagencies.
- Support multidisciplinary teams on transportation engineering projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree
in Civil Engineeringor related field. - Florida PE license
, or ability to obtain within 6 months. - 3+ years of experience
in traffic or transportation engineering. - Valid drivers license and clean driving history.
- Sponsorship not available now or in the future.
- HCS (preferred)
- Micro Station or AutoCAD (preferred)
- Experience with:
- Traffic Impact Statements for local municipalities
