Medical Secretary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Secretary to join our ophtholomogy office. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. This role requires a blend of administrative skills, and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming environment for all patients. No Nights or weekends.

• Welcome and greet all patients and visitors, in person and/or over the phones.
• Respond to patient/visitor inquiries, in person and/or over the phones.
• Keep the reception area clean and organized.
• Process new patient information and update existing patient demographics including HIPAA confidentiality statements.
• Check for new address, phone number, and insurance and DL on existing patients.
• Scan documents
• Protect patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight.
