Flooring Design Consultant

We are partnering with a well-established flooring contractor to identify a Flooring Design Consultant to support residential, commercial, remodeling, and builder projects throughout the Punta Gorda, Florida market. This is an onsite, customer-facing showroom sales role focused on helping clients select the right flooring products while delivering an exceptional customer experience from consultation through installation.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with homeowners, designers, remodelers, builders, and commercial clients to bring their vision to life. This role combines consultative sales, product knowledge, project coordination, and relationship building in a fast-paced showroom environment with excellent long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the showroom and provide a consultative sales experience
• Assist homeowners, designers, remodelers, builders, and commercial clients with selecting flooring products for their projects
• Recommend flooring solutions based on design preferences, functionality, project requirements, and budget
• Build long-term customer relationships through exceptional service and product expertise
• Prepare project estimates, proposals, and customer quotations
• Coordinate flooring projects from product selection through installation
• Communicate with customers, installers, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution
• Follow up throughout the project lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction and identify future business opportunities
• Maintain showroom product knowledge and stay current on flooring trends and product offerings

Ideal Background

• Flooring industry experience preferred but not required
• Previous experience in retail sales, showroom sales, interior design, flooring, building products, or related industries preferred
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced showroom environment
• Strong attention to detail with a customer-first mindset
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and collaborative team approach
• Weekend availability as part of the regular work schedule
