Job Description:

This program offers a valuable opportunity for hands-on experience in the automotive industry,working alongside an experienced technician and gaining insight into various aspects of auto body repair. This will be a 30 day trial to qualify for the 18-month Technician Development Program.

Key Job Responsibilities Assist in performing basic auto body repairs, including dent removal, sanding, and painting under the supervision of experienced technicians.

Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment properly to ensure safety and efficiency in the workplace.

Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and develop repair plans.

Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects within specified timelines and quality standards.

Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Education and/or Experience Required High School Diploma/GED preferred

Trade/Vocational school graduates preferred

Some on-the-job experience is preferred

I-CAR Gold Class preferred

Skills and Abilities

Must be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to stand for long periods of time in the repair of a vehicle

Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions.

Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling vehicle parts.

Strong interest in the automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop technical skills.

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment

Basic knowledge of auto body repair techniques and tools is preferred but not required

Must be at least 18 years of ageGood communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning and problem-solving

Reliable transportation to commute to the workplace

Other Requirements Maintain a good rapport with all supervisors and co-workers

Comply with all Company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.

Present a friendly, pleasant, accommodating, cheerful, courteous, helpful, and outgoing disposition toward fellow employees at all times.

Promote a positive spirit of teamwork within the company

Maintain a well-groomed appearance.

Maintain a clean, organized work area at all times

Perform all assigned activities according to the Standardized Operating Procedures of the company.

Continuously strive to improve the efficiency of the production department and overall company operation, and be willing to participate in company meetings.

Participate in training programs as required to maintain the technical and professional skills and techniques necessary forthis position.

Extend normal working hours as necessary to accommodate workload and customer requirements.

Requirements to Qualify for Entry into TDPMentor agrees to accept trainee

Zero unplanned absences

Zero Tardiness violations

Has worked with selected mentor for 90% or more of the 30-day time frame

Trainee passes final Pre-TDP assessment

Mentor signs training agreement
