Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

Brookdale Punta Gorda is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Technician with prior assisted living experience to join our 42‑unit community. Primary responsibilities include general maintenance and repair of exterior and interior building components, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of HVAC systems, fire and sprinkler equipment, generators, landscaping, kitchen equipment, plumbing and electrical work, and timely completion of resident maintenance requests and room turnover tasks.

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on HVAC, fire and sprinkler systems, generators, elevators, landscaping, kitchen equipment, and other building infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and ensure rooms are painted, cleaned, and ready for new occupants.
• Maintain positive communication with local fire marshal, building inspector, and other regulatory authorities.

• Previous maintenance experience in assisted living or similar residential facilities.
• Proficiency with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of maintenance issues independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to resident safety and comfort.

• Base pay commensurate with skills and experience.
• Sign‑on bonus of $2,500.
