Part Time Line Service Technician

Overview

Charlotte County Airport Authority (CCAA) is currently accepting applications for the part-time, non-exempt position of Line Service Technician at Punta Gorda Airport (PGD). Under the direction of FBO Management / Supervisors, the Line Service Technician is responsible for a safe, compliant and efficient FBO operation for aircraft fueling, ground handling, facilities and customer service.

• Operate all aircraft fueling operations per FAA requirements and airline standards.
• Maintain daily record-keeping as assigned, electronic or manual.
• Assist with the daily functions of the customer service counter and airside operations.
• Assist in preventative maintenance (daily checks), cleanliness and proper storage of all aircraft and FBO ground support equipment. Equipment shall be maintained to exceed industry standards and strive for 100% readiness.
• Maintain cleanliness of all aircraft parking and tie-down areas.
• Assist in the operations and maintenance of all bulk fuel storage systems.
• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of mobile fueling equipment.
• Perform daily fuel quality testing and record results.
• Perform airport security duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities, preferably in an outside environment.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.

• Able to problem solve independently or seek assistance.
• Knowledge of general and commercial aviation operations and procedures.
• Skilled with aviation and ground-based radio systems or similar equipment.
• Able to provide excellent customer service.

• Requires 24-hour/7-day on-call status.
• Able to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Capable of working in all weather conditions, including extreme heat.
• Able to lift 50 pounds, push, climb and walk for the majority of the workday.
• Exposed to and handles hazardous materials.
