Sr. Accountant

Description

Our client in the Westchester County, NY area has an opening for a Senior Accounting Professional with Construction industry experience. This consulting role can be fully remote and will run for up to 2 months for approximately 35 hours per week:

Responsibilities:

- Review and reconcile financial accounts to ensure accurate reporting for the third and fourth quarters of 2025.

- Conduct a thorough cleanup of the general ledger to improve financial records.

- Transition financial data from Sage 100 Timberline to Quick Books Online, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to address discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

- Prepare detailed reports on financial status and account reconciliations.

- Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

- Utilize advanced accounting software to manage and streamline financial tasks.

- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information throughout the project.

- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial data and sensitive information.

Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities.

- Proficiency in general ledger management and account reconciliation.

- Hands-on experience with Sage Timberline software.

- Strong knowledge of Quick Books Online.

- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.

- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
