Controller Position

We are looking for an experienced Controller to support financial operations for one of our clients in the Westchester County area. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting specialist who can oversee core reporting activities, maintain compliance, and strengthen day-to-day finance processes. The role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage essential accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly close process, ensuring financial records are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, analyze variances, and provide financial insight to support business decisions.
• Oversee payroll activities to help ensure employees are paid accurately and in compliance with applicable requirements.
• Manage sales tax processes, including review, reporting, and timely filing obligations.
• Support onboarding activities related to finance and payroll administration for new hires.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures to improve accuracy, consistency, and compliance across financial operations.
• Produce financial reports and summaries for leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and performance updates.
