Manager, Global Sweeteners Procurement
Pepsi Co is a global leader in convenient foods and beverages, with a portfolio that includes iconic brands such as Frito-Lay, Pepsi, Gatorade, Quaker and others. Following Commodities, Seasoning & Ingredients global operating model implementation, we are seeking a Manager, Global Sweeteners Procurement, supporting the Sr Director in developing and stewarding global category strategy across Sugar & Corn Sweeteners.
Operating under Procurement Centrally Coordinated model, this role builds and maintains the category strategies, commodity/market intelligence and supplier performance frameworks that regional teams around the world execute against. The Manager will partner closely with Procurement Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, Sustainability and regional sourcing teams to ensure global consistency in strategy while enabling regional execution within centrally defined guardrails.
ResponsibilitiesCategory Leadership & Strategy Development:
- Support development of the Global Sweeteners sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and drive the agenda across Productivity, Innovation and Sustainability.
- Translate global strategy into clear guardrails, sourcing principles and negotiation frameworks that regional teams execute locally.
- Leverage scale through global and cross-sector tendering; support implementation and adoption of e-sourcing and other digital procurement tools for value creation.
Market Intelligence & Commodity Risk Management
- Monitor and synthesize global sweetener market dynamics to inform sourcing decisions and hedging strategy.
- Develop price forecasts, supply/demand outlooks and risk models; share market intelligence and sourcing insights across business units and sectors.
- Take a leadership role in risk management by redefining playbook models to capture value via triggers and extending optionality through data-driven decision-making.
Supplier Performance Frameworks & SRM Governance
- Design global supplier performance frameworks and SRM governance routines (e.g., joint business plan templates, scorecards, Q /J structures) for use by regional teams.
- Support negotiations with strategic global/regional suppliers to achieve best-in-class economics and build robust business continuity plans.
Cross-Regional Coordination & Stakeholder Partnership
- Act as the connective link between the Sr Director's central strategy agenda and regional teams executing sourcing in-market, ensuring consistent application of global frameworks.
- Represent the Sweeteners category in cross-functional and cross-sector forums, influencing without direct authority across a matrixed, multi-region organization.
R&D Partnership & Innovation
- Partner with R&D to define science & technology needs and develop the roadmap to leverage supplier capabilities across the Sweeteners portfolio.
- Align Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with R&D to drive supplier science and technology resources, bringing commercial structure to Innovation, Value Engineering and Design-to-Value (DTV) agendas.
Sustainability & Compliance
- Build central knowledge of Sustainability benchmarking and value delivery, partnering with the Global Sustainability Office and Procurement Excellence teams to drive fact-based, data-backed negotiations.
- Ensure alignment and transparent communication of Pepsi Co Positive (pep+) targets across Acres, Sustainable Sourcing (SUSO), and Livelihoods, including GHG Scope 1, 2, and 3 commitments.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250.

- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.

Required Experience:
- Minimum undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Agriculture or a related quantitative/analytical field.
- 5+ years of procurement experience and/or related negotiation, commodity, or financial management roles; global or multi-region exposure preferred.
Leadership & Business Acumen:
- Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional teams and navigate matrixed environments, building frameworks and strategy centrally while enabling and influencing regional teams who own execution.
