As part of HDR’s Field Services team, the Resident Engineer will be on the front lines of infrastructure development, ensuring that what is designed is built to the highest standards.
ResidentEngineer Responsibilities
- Perform complex construction assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard construction engineering techniques and procedures.
- Conduct project field coordination, documentation, cost monitoring, bidding, and scheduling.
- Receive, issue, and track RFIs, submittals and other required data.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in construction engineering.
- Local candidates given preference.
- CCM.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related field.
- Previous construction engineering experience.
- Requires a professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered, e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Estimating & CPM Scheduling Software, and web‑based document collaboration software.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full‑time regular positions. Temporary and part‑time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
